My Vision
I spent 14 years in homeschooling before transitioning to CBU. The years that I spent investing in my education were incredibly valuable; not only because I took excellent classes with amazing teachers, but also because I took the time necessary to customize my education to fit my own needs and preferences. In orchestrating my schooling and extra curriculars to directly cater to my personal goals, I was prepared for college with tools that a standardized education would have never given me. Now, as a tutor, coach, and writing mentor, I hope to do the same for you. I hope to help you flourish in your academic endeavors and progress in your communication careers. I hope to further your writing skills and work with you to create believable characters, heart-string-pulling plot lines, and compelling essays. I hope to dive deep with you into the history of our nation and the philosophies that founded it. I hope to join you in discussing the works of Emily Dickinson, Edgar Allan Poe, and Robert Frost. Simply put, I hope to help you succeed, in whatever area, passion, or capacity that may be for you.

Teaching Experience:

Tutoring. Through AdrianKingEducation, I have mentored, advised, taught, and coached students as young as 8 and as old as 19. I have taught math from second grade to Algebra 2 and everything in between. Has experience in teaching various writing curriculums of all age ranges. (2017-present)

I have been coaching since 2020, offering help to individual students, camps, and even clubs as they prepare for tournaments and competition. I have helped students at all levels of experience, whether they want to speak in public for the first time or whether they want to put the finishing touches on a speech which is headed to nationals. I have also helped competitors from a wide range of leagues, including Stoa, NCFCA, and public school debate leagues. I have competed myself in Lincoln Douglas, Parliamentary, and Team Policy Debate and also have coached Congress.

Coach, Lasting Impact! Taught a platform speaking class for students providing instruction on how to write, develop, and deliver winning speeches as well as lectured for introductory speech and debate at Lasting Impact!'s BMW summer camp. (2021-2022).

Lecturer, Lab Group Leader, and Casebook Writer - NIHD Summer Camp. Worked at a week-long camp geared towards preparing students for the upcoming speech and debate season. Lectured on various speech events and forms of debate, provided individualized feedback and research to help a lab group, and wrote sample cases for both Lincoln Douglas and Team Policy debate to be distributed to campers. (2020-2022)

National Competitor, ranked in the Top 0.5% in the nation of 1,551 participants (8th Place overall.) STOA. 144 Placings. Competed in 33 tournaments, including Nationals 2018, 2019. Since 2017, qualified for Nationals (NITOC) in events including Lincoln Douglas Debate, Parliamentary Debate, Team Policy Debate, Apologetics, Cold Reading Demonstration, Duo Interpretation, Extemporaneous, Oratory Analysis, Open Interpretation, Original Oratory, and Persuasive. Qualified for Founders Award in 2018, 2019, 2020.
